"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" Gala Night

"We accept the love we think we deserve..."

This may have been just one of the many famous lines you would remember if you have read the book, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" written by Stephen Chbosky, and was released in February 1st, 1999.  This year, the novel was made into a film and starred Emma Watson, Ezra Miller, and Logan Lerman who played the lead role of a teenage boy named Charlie.

I have been lucky to receive 10 movie tickets for its Philippine premiere courtesy of Astroplus and shared it with a few friends. (Thank you all for joining even if it's a late invitation =) Special mention to Eda, Jake & girlfriend Mae )   I haven't read the book, so I didn't really know what to expect, except that there's Emma Watson from one of my favorite fantasy films, Harry Potter and the cute guy on the poster, Ezra Miller. =)   I was later surprised to see that the author Stephen Chbosky himself, wrote the screenplay and directed the film!

A few of my movie invites
I won't discuss what exactly happened in the story for those who haven't read it, but definitely the public should watch out for Ezra Miller who played as Patrick, Sam's step-brother portrayed by Emma Watson.  He well-acted his role and thought that he may have overshadowed Logan Lerman who is on the lead because of the intensity of his part and how he portrayed it.  =)

The event were sponsored by NetBooster, Alcatel, Astroplus, and Philips.

Before the actual screening, Alcatel also gave out cellphones to those lucky audiences.  Too bad I didn't win, but perhaps next time :(

If you can, find time to catch "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" at the big screen.  As for me? I'll probably buy the book this weekend. :)

BREAKING DAWN Part 1 PREMIERE NIGHT

"No measure of time with you will be long enough.   But we'll start with forever."
~ Edward Cullen

One of the much anticipated movie of the year, and worldwide phenomenon, Breaking Dawn Part 1  from the Twilight Saga just had it's premiere gala, last night, November 17th, 2011, 8PM, at the SM Premiere Cinema, Mall of Asia

The theater were full of Twilight enthusiasts eager to catch the film first before it's scheduled public screening on November 18th, just like me, my sister Mae, and her buddy Jazzie. =)

The event kicked off with a brief program including raffling of prizes from the sponsors. Too bad they didn't raffle off Twilight items like, DVDs, posters, T-shirts, etc which I hoped for, and perhaps the entire audience, because it seemed that only a handful showed interest. That's a pity (I know right?)  Anyhow, I still get to take home something, as all of the movie goers were able to receive freebies too like Alaska Yogurt Drink, Duty Free Complimentary Card, Schick Razors, and Breaking Dawn 2012 Calendar.

Advanced screenings were also held simultaneously that night at Cinemas 3 & 4 of Mall of Asia, and at Cinema 8 of SM Megamall for customers who availed promos from Ensogo, Groupon, SM, and Astroplus.

Our Wedding Invitation a.k.a Premiere Tickets

Melai and Jazzie

Freebies at the red carpet!

The freebies plus the premiere ticket.
I am very much impressed with how Taylor Lautner's character as Jacob, and how his acting abilities have grown in this film (sorry, I am on Team Jacob ^_^) This time too, I get to see the sexier side of Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan, and Robert Pattinson is still as charming as before being Edward Cullen. Oh, and by the way, the baby Renesme is really cute! Better grab your tickets now to see it for yourself, and tell me who's side are you on? =)

FYI: Please make sure you stay after the closing credits because there's still more, and it's worth the wait!

SUPER SHOW 3, 3D

I'm a fangirl, and am proud to be one! At dahil dyan, I couldn't bare to miss Super Junior's 3D Concert Movie, brought to Manila by PULP Productions, courtesy of Ms. Happee Sy.

I did see the Super Junior: Super Show 3 last February 26th, 2011 in Araneta Colisuem (hindi pa sya SMART-Araneta that time) with my SVIP Tickets (yabang! hehehe) but I still want to relive the concert that's why I went to see the movie.   Aside from the fact that a friend of mine made kulit! hehehe, I didn't have money and watching it was not one of my itinerary for my Birthday month, pero I still went because of my love for Super Junior and Kim Heechul (my Super Junior bias) who is now fulfilling his military obligations.
At syempre dahil love ko si Sheena (ung friend ko na makulit... hehehe..)

The concert movie was first released in Seoul, South Korea on February 25th, Filipino fangirls and fanboys would get to experience it now in select theaters nationwide. For screenings, please see below:

Promise! When I saw the movie, because it's on 3D, super lapit! As if you're on the SVIP & VVIP sections! No kidding! Better go and see it for you to experience it.

Now for the Pics Galore!

BEING ELMO

Who doesn't recognize that red furry little monster on Sesame Street, who looks like Grover, only red and is not scary?  Syempre wala! Kids and kids at heart knows who this cute little fella is.

Elmo first appeared as himself on November 18, 1985. (ah, meron din pla syang Birthday!)  He's just so adorable, sweet, and innocent, that's why he's one of my favorite! I love Elmo! Everybody loves Elmo!

If Elmo has inspired you in any way, I bet you'll be inspired even more when you see the indie film, "Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey."  This is a story about Kevin Clash, Elmo's creator and puppeteer, following his early years in Baltimore, Maryland, and how he came to meet Jim Henson and Elmo.
"If everybody else your age is doing something very different from what you're doing, there's always going to be someone saying that you might not succeed, you might not make any money.  All of those things will go away if you really focus on what makes you happy." - Kevin Clash, voice of Elmo

Release Dates: January 14, 2011 (Sundance)
October 21, 2011 (US) >>> sakto at birthday ko pa? sweeeet!

Wish ko ipalabas sa Pinas ito. =(

(I wish for this film to be shown in the Philippines)
